{"id":18346,"date":"2026-05-29T08:02:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T08:02:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presscouncil-ks.org\/?p=18346"},"modified":"2026-05-29T12:34:03","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T12:34:03","slug":"press-council-decides-on-11-complaints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/presscouncil-ks.org\/?p=18346&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Press Council decides on 11 complaints"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) in its regular meeting reviewed a total of 11 complaints.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The members of the PCK Assembly decided to approve four of them, partially approve one, declare two complaints inadmissible and two time-barred.<\/p>\n<p>The complaints concerned allegations of violations of certain chapters of the Kosovo Press Code,<br \/>\nnamely Chapter II &#8211; Reporting the Truth, Chapter IV &#8211; Right to Reply, Chapter VI &#8211; Handling of<br \/>\nPersonal Tragedies, Protection of Children and Minors, Chapter VII &#8211; Privacy and Protection of<br \/>\nSources and Chapter X &#8211; Conflict of interest.<\/p>\n<p>The Press Council of Kosovo has approved Nasuf Hasani\u2019s complaint against Sinjali.com for the<br \/>\narticle titled \u201cLawyer Nasuf Hasani\u2019s license is revoked \u2013 audios are published where he is heard<br \/>\nseverely criticizing the Chamber\u2019s staff\u201d, finding that chapters II, IV and X of the Kosovo Press<br \/>\nCode, which deal with reporting the truth, respectively the right to reply, respectively the conflict<br \/>\nof interest, have been violated.<\/p>\n<p>The Press Council of Kosovo has approved Nasuf Hasani\u2019s complaint against Indeksonline.net<br \/>\nfor the article titled \u201cLawyer Nasuf Hasani\u2019s license is revoked \u2013 audios are published where he<br \/>\nis heard severely criticizing the Chamber\u2019s staff\u201d, finding that chapters II, IV and X of the<br \/>\nKosovo Press Code, which deal with reporting the truth, respectively the right to reply,<br \/>\nrespectively the conflict of interest, have been violated.<\/p>\n<p>The Press Council of Kosovo has approved Fjona Gashi&amp;#39;s complaint against Sinjali.com for the<br \/>\narticle titled &amp;quot;Exclusive: Filmed shooting at a party &#8211; 30-year-old turns himself in to the Prizren<br \/>\nPolice&amp;quot;, finding that Chapter VII of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with privacy, has been<br \/>\nviolated.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has approved Granit \u00c7aka&amp;#39;s complaint against Sinjali.com for the<br \/>\narticle titled \u201cExclusive: Family feud in Ka\u00e7anik gets out of control \u2013 threatening messages and<br \/>\ndrugs in the house, suspect arrested, finding that Chapter VII of the Kosovo Press Code, which<br \/>\ndeals with privacy, has been violated.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has partially approved the complaint of the Cabinet of the Acting<br \/>\nPresident of the Kosovo against Klankosova.tv for the articles titled \u201cHaxhiu removes the<br \/>\nDardanian flag from the Presidential Office (Video)?\u201d and \u201c\u2018After the Dardanian flag, Albulena<br \/>\nHaxhiu \u2018disappears\u2019 the statue of Ibrahim Rugova from her posts? (Photo)\u2019\u201d, finding that<br \/>\nChapters II and IV of the Kosovo Press Code, which deal with reporting the truth, namely the<br \/>\nright to reply, have been partially violated.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has declared inadmissible the complaint of Kaltrina Gashi against<br \/>\nKlankosova,tv, Paparaci.com and Rrafshi i Dukagjinit in Fokus, finding that the media content<br \/>\nfor which the complaint was filed was not found, and therefore it was not possible to handle it.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has declared inadmissible the complaint of Ardenisa Gashi against<br \/>\nKlankosova,tv, Paparaci.com and Rrafshi i Dukagjinit in Fokus, finding that the media content<br \/>\nfor which the complaint was filed was not found, and therefore it was not possible to handle it.<br \/>\nThe Kosovo Press Council has declared inadmissible the complaint of Arb\u00ebr Emini against Plus<br \/>\nTelevizion, since it does not have the competence to handle the content broadcast on television.<\/p>\n<p>The complaining party may address the Independent Media Commission (IMC).<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has declared time-barred Besmire Kluna&amp;#39;s complaint against<br \/>\nGazetablic.com, Sinjali.com, Botasot.info, Gazetaenigma.com, Syri.net, Kosova.info and<br \/>\nDrenicaonline.com.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has declared time-barred Xhevat Mustafa&amp;#39;s complaint against<br \/>\nSinjali.com.<\/p>\n<p>The Kosovo Press Council has declared time-barred Valmir Hoxha&amp;#39;s complaint against<br \/>\nDemokracia.com, Nacionale.com and Periskopi.com.<\/p>\n<p>The PCK meeting was organized with the support of UNESCO, within the framework of the project &#8220;Building Trust in the Media in Southeastern Europe: Supporting Journalism as a Public Good&#8221;, funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) in its regular meeting reviewed a total of 11 complaints.
