The School of Journalism Ethics, organized by the Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) and with the support of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, was held in Pristina.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Florent Spahija, lawyer, legal advisor at KPC, spoke with the participants – journalism students and young journalists – about the legal regulation of the media in Kosovo, with a special emphasis on issues related to ethical reporting. He also spoke about the functioning of the audiovisual media regulator – IMC and the law on RTK.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Imer Mushkolaj, executive director of PCK, spoke about the work and responsibilities of the Council…, as a self-regulatory body for print and online media. Participants also simulated a meeting of the Assembly of the Press Council of Kosovo to resolve complaints addressed by the parties, through practical cases and based on the Kosovo Press Code.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Blerta Dibrani, a lecturer at the Department of Journalism at the University of Prishtina (UP), spoke with participants about ethical judgment in the era of disinformation and artificial intelligence. She also spoke about the risks and advantages of using artificial intelligence in the creation of media content.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With Kreshnik Gashi, investigative journalist and managing editor at Kallxo.com, the school participants – journalism students and young journalists – discussed investigative journalism and ethics, research methods and privacy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brikenda Rexhepi, editor-in-chief at the Koha Group, spoke about working in the newsroom, respecting codes of ethics, and the challenges that young journalists in particular face during their work.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The School of Journalism Ethics, organized by the Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) and with the support of the OSCE Mission to Kosovo, concluded on Thursday in Pristina.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Saranda Ramaj, a journalist and health policy researcher, spoke with participants about reporting in the field of health, with a special emphasis on public health institutions. She also shared her experiences during reporting and the challenges she faced in ensuring that reporting was ethical and professional.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With Agon Sinanaj from the Buletini Ekonomik, an investigative journalist, the school participants – journalism students and young journalists – discussed investigative journalism and ethics when reporting in the field of economics. He shared his experiences from important research \u2013 especially in the energy sector, but also spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in daily work.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Betim Musliu from Betimi p\u00ebr Drejt\u00ebsi, an investigative journalist, spoke about reporting in the field of justice, the care that young journalists should take when reporting, and the need to respect codes of ethics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
