The Kosovo Press Council (KPC) in its regular meeting reviewed a total of 8 complaints. The members of the KPC Assembly decided to approve four of them, reject three and declare one complaint inadmissible.<\/p>\n

The complaints concerned allegations of violations of certain chapters of the Kosovo Press Code, namely Chapter II – Reporting the Truth, Chapter IV – Right to Reply, Chapter V – Persons Involved in Incidents, Accidents, Arrested or Accused of Criminal Offenses and Chapter VII – Privacy and Protection of Sources.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has approved the complaint of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo (YIHR KS) against VOX Kosova for the video titled \u201cExclusive Audio Recording: Special Officers Taught Students That the KLA Is Suspected of Committing Crimes\u201d, finding that Chapter II of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with reporting the truth, was violated.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has approved the complaint of Agim Vinca against Botasot.info for failing to publish a response to an article, finding that Chapter IV of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with the right to reply, was violated.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has approved the complaint of Vjollca Nikollbibaj-Kuzhnini against Sinjali.com for publishing a photo story, finding that Chapter V of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with the presumption of innocence, has been violated.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has approved the complaint of the Kosovo Energy Corporation JSC against Rajoni.org for the article titled \u201cThe company that deals with the processing of spices and sauces wins a multi-million tender in KEK for the supply of rollers for mining equipment\u201d, finding that Chapters II and IV of the Kosovo Press Code, which deal with reporting the truth, respectively the right to reply, have been violated.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has not approved (rejected) the complaint of Gent Zeqiraj against Paparaci.com and Insajderi.org for the article titled \u201cHow the son of multimillionaire businessman Milazim Zeqiraj fell victim to usury\u201d, finding that Chapter VII of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with the protection of sources and privacy, was not violated, as claimed by the complainant.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has not approved (rejected) the complaint of Enver Hasani against Kallxo.com for the article titled \u201cThe Senate of the University of Pristina approved disciplinary measures against Enver Hasani\u201d, finding that Chapter II of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with reporting the truth, respectively Chapter IV, which deals with the right to reply, were not violated, as claimed by the complainant.<\/p>\n

The Kosovo Press Council has not approved (rejected) the complaint of Shqipdon Millaku against Klankosova.tv for the publication of a photograph, finding that Chapter VII of the Kosovo Press Code, which deals with the protection of sources and privacy, was not violated, as claimed by the complainant.<\/p>\n
