In the digital age, where disinformation spreads faster than fact, young people are often the most vulnerable targets. Recognizing this critical threat, the\u00a0Organization for Democracy, Anti-Corruption, and Dignity \u2013 \u00c7OHU<\/strong><\/a>, a dedicated civil society organization focused on promoting democratic values and civic education in Kosovo, took its mission directly to the youth.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The project was implemented on a national scale, targeting high school students across 15 different municipalities in Kosovo, including\u00a0Prishtina, Podujeva, Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Skenderaj, Peja<\/strong>, and more. The core mission was to equip the next generation with the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate the modern information landscape.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The project\u2019s main activity consisted of a series of engaging lectures and discussions held directly in high school classrooms. \u00c7OHU\u2019s team worked closely with municipal education departments and school principals to integrate these important sessions into students\u2019 regular schedules.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The lectures focused on the dangers of disinformation and fake news, helping students learn how to identify trustworthy sources, understand media ethics, and think more critically about the information they consume. To reinforce these lessons, the project produced and distributed hundreds of informational brochures, giving students a tangible resource to take home and revisit.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nearly\u00a0400 students\u00a0<\/strong>were directly engaged through activities that encouraged them to move from passive media consumers to active, critical thinkers. By integrating these lessons into their everyday learning environment, a more resilient generation has been fostered, less vulnerable to the impact of false information.<\/p>\n

The project is funded through the\u00a0Our Media sub-granting scheme<\/strong><\/a>, which has provided support to 21 local projects across the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n
