For journalism students, young journalists and its staff, the Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) organized the training “How to detect fake news? – Tools and methods”. During the training, which was held in Pristina, participants were given the opportunity to identify and deconstruct fake media content through practical examples, namely practical work.
Festim Rizanaj from Hibrid.info focused on identifying fake news and deconstructing it, as well as on deconstructing narratives through which misinformation and disinformation are aimed.
Visar Prebreza from Krypometri / Kallxo.comspoke about the deconstruction of fake photos, namely videos, with special emphasis on those generated with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Meanwhile, journalist Evliana Berani spoke with the participants about research methods and tools for deconstructing false media content.
The training was also useful for the staff of the Office of the Press Council of Kosovo Kosovo, who will be able to apply the presented methods and tools during their current work, especially in relation to monitoring media content and complaints from parties.
This activity was funded by the EU within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Role and Capacities of Investigative Journalism in Kosovo”, which is implemented by BIRN Kosovo, Press Council of Kosovo and TV Mreža.
