Representatives of the Press Council of Kosovo (SŠK) participated on the 26th. annual conference of the Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe (AIPCE), which was held in Budva, Montenegro.
At the conference with the central theme “Do press advice have a future? “Challenges and possibilities of media self-regulation mechanisms in the digital age, under political pressure and war, as well as the influence of artificial intelligence on the media sector have been considered.
Representatives of SSK shared their experience of this mechanism functioning in Kosovo, as a positive example of self-regulation of print and online media. Meanwhile, representatives of media councils from the Western Balkans have pointed out the lack of sustainable financing as one of the biggest challenges they face.
